Northern Maine Community College is a community college in Presque Isle, Maine and one of the seven colleges in the Maine Community College System. The 87-acre (350,000 m2) campus was founded in 1961 on the grounds of the former Presque Isle Air Force Base.

The Trade and Technical department has the largest number of students, (269 in 2012-213). This department also requires the largest amount of credits to receive an associate degree. Along with needing the largest amounts of credits, the courses required are more demanding and involve mathematics and physical science. Graduates from this department find that the preparation gives an added flexibility when searching for a career.
Sports
NMCC Falcons are a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) school that compete in the Northern Division of the Yankee Small College Conference. The school competes in golf, soccer, men's and women's basketball, ice hockey, and skiing.
Mission Statement
Northern Maine Community College provides career and transfer programs that lead to associate degrees, diplomas or certificates. The students served have an opportunity to develop as individuals and to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for employment or for transfer to a senior college or university. The college assists in economic and human resource development by offering programs of study, courses or seminars to employed individuals, specialized training to attract business and industry, and various community interest courses or seminars.
